Part of the enjoyment of skiing is going out for a good cruise, scenery going by, friends and family together. That is what groomers are all about. Best exemplified by the big open turns you can find everywhere from Austria to California, groomers are a big part of the sport. Whether it is how you get around the mountain or a powder day, or your favorite thing out of the sport of skiing, groomers let you enjoy the smooth, graceful, and sometimes exhilarating feeling of using gravity and low friction to turn a mountain into a playground.
Groomer skis focus on on-trail performance. Typically well under 90mm in width, Argent does not make a dedicated groomer ski. Working with our customers we found there were very few who were looking for a ski which focused so narrowly on a single aspect of skiing. Today, a 90mm ski (such as our 92) can charge hard and hold an edge very effectively on any groomer. The next run, you can take them in the trees, or down the back bowl. In the spring you can use them in slush, bumps and the occasional pond skimming contest (please send us the video!). While we do not make a dedicated groomer ski, we highly recommend you try the 92 or the Rip Cord if you are looking for a great on-piste or East Coast focused one ski quiver.
